PROJECT STORY

Architectural visualisation in Ibiza: UMBRA

UMBRA is a private villa in Es Cubells for which JVA Renders developed an exterior and interior image series. This architectural visualisation in Ibiza presents stone, shade and water as part of the house’s relationship with the Mediterranean landscape. The client, developer and architectural authorship remain confidential.

The setting is informed by the landscape of Es Cubells, described by the official Sant Josep tourism site; the villa’s precise location is not disclosed.

A house revealed in stages

The approach passes pale stone walls, olive trees and low planting. Across three levels, the villa opens to courtyards, terraces and an outdoor pool. Its programme brings together eight suites and shared spaces within approximately 1,800 m² of interior area. The images move between the scale of the hillside and the close view of a threshold, a material junction or a patch of shade.

The visual sequence begins with the mineral façade framed by water and planting, the chosen cover image, before stepping back to show the house in its setting and then following the arrival route. For architecture practices and developers, this continuity between landscape, material and programme helps explain the project beyond a single hero render.

Interiors, materials and everyday use

The living and dining rooms extend toward the terrace and garden. In the kitchen, a stone island and timber cabinetry bring a domestic scale to a substantial residence. A pergola shades the poolside seating area. The bedroom opens to the hillside, while overhead light gives the bathroom a quieter character.

The series also includes an indoor spa pool and a gym looking toward an olive-tree courtyard. These scenes make the villa legible through use rather than façade alone: they show how light changes during the day and how wellness spaces belong to the architectural sequence. A final dusk view brings the house back into the landscape with warm interior light and an outdoor fire.

The architectural visualisation in Ibiza was organised as a journey through the residence rather than a set of unrelated views. An image of the villa in the landscape establishes its position on the slope; the approach then brings the viewer toward pale stone walls and the shaded entrance. Inside, the dining room, kitchen and bedroom give the project a lived scale. Material continuity matters across these spaces: mineral surfaces anchor the architecture, timber adds warmth and the planting remains visible through broad openings. The spa pool and gym extend the story to the villa’s wellness areas, while the dusk view shows how the volumes read after daylight fades. Together, these views give a design team a clear way to discuss the setting, programme and atmosphere with a client or prospective buyer.

The presentation moves from the wider terrain to details of interior use and back to a final exterior view. This rhythm also informed the editorial book. For residential marketing, the same visual language can carry across a portfolio page, a sales presentation and a printed dossier. The sequence lets a reader understand both the overall character of the villa and the individual rooms without revealing the confidential parties behind the commission.

From architectural imagery to a presentation book

Alongside the renders, we developed an editorial presentation for UMBRA. The images below show the boxed set, an opening spread, the project sheet and a dusk spread. The book gives the villa a coherent visual narrative for client and development presentations.
