Art-directed architectural visualization

Images that make the architectural idea visible. JVA Renders is an architectural visualization studio working with international architecture practices on art-directed imagery and films. We connect architecture, landscape and human experience through a clear visual narrative.

For design teams seeking a distinctive eye for concept presentations, cultural buildings, hospitality, infrastructure and large-scale developments.

A DISTINCTIVE EYE

The character of the project, in every frame

Art direction begins with deciding what deserves to be seen. A relationship with the landscape, a complex section, the depth of a threshold or a way of inhabiting space can become the focus of an image.

Framing, light, material and human presence are treated as architectural decisions. A territorial view locates the proposal; an inhabited scene reveals its scale; a detail explains how it is touched and made. Together, they form a narrative for design presentations, editorial communication and project launches.

NONAME × JVA · VISUAL RESEARCH

ELEMENTS.
Ten contexts, one eye.

The complete collection of independent conceptual studies by NoName Architecture, with art direction and visualization by JVA Renders. Climate, material and everyday life become tools for giving architecture an identity.

NEOM, museums, infrastructure and projects originating in international competitions provide the context. These are uncommissioned studies: they are not official projects, entries to those competitions or collaborations with the referenced architects and developers.

The Inhabited Cliff · Trojena — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Mountain hospitality · Saudi Arabia

The Inhabited Cliff · Trojena

Trojena is NEOM’s mountain destination, with a masterplan by LAVA. The Inhabited Cliff uses this territorial context as the starting point for an independent NoName intervention: rock, snow and inhabited light shape JVA’s visual narrative.

The Void Station · The Mukaab — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Infrastructure · International competition context

The Void Station · The Mukaab

The Mukaab and New Murabba in Riyadh were the subject of an international competition organised by Malcolm Reading Consultants and won by an AtkinsRéalis-led team. The Void Station is an autonomous hypothesis beneath that urban context; it was not an entry to that competition.

The Breathing House · Setouchi — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Hospitality · Japan · BIG context

The Breathing House · Setouchi

NOT A HOTEL Setouchi, designed by BIG — Bjarke Ingels Group on Japan’s Sagi island, provides the hospitality and island-landscape context. The Breathing House develops a separate conceptual house: earth, timber and a textile canopy explore the presence of wind.

The Urban Cave · Lucas Museum — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Museum and landscape · MAD Architects context

The Urban Cave · Lucas Museum

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles combines architecture by MAD Architects, led by Ma Yansong, with landscape by Studio-MLA. The Urban Cave imagines a different ground and arrival experience: granite, rain and everyday life, visualized by JVA.

Tidal Room · Guggenheim Abu Dhabi — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Cultural architecture · Frank Gehry context

Tidal Room · Guggenheim Abu Dhabi

The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, designed by Frank Gehry on Saadiyat Island, is the cultural reference for Tidal Room. NoName’s conceptual intervention focuses on an alternative maritime arrival; JVA explores how tides and water traces give scale to public space.

The Last Objects · Epicon — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Coastal hospitality · NEOM · 10 Design context

The Last Objects · Epicon

Epicon is a NEOM development on the Gulf of Aqaba with architecture by 10 Design. The Last Objects proposes an independent coastal intervention in that context: distance, salt and haze place architecture within an inhabited landscape.

The Sunken City · CityWave Milan — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Public space · BIG competition context

The Sunken City · CityWave Milan

CityWave, by BIG — Bjarke Ingels Group, originated in an international competition to complete CityLife in Milan. The Sunken City is not an entry to that competition: it imagines a sunken plaza beneath the roof, where reclaimed stone, shade and paths create a pedestrian-scale experience.

The Bronze Street · Taipei Post — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Urban architecture · Zaha Hadid Architects context

The Bronze Street · Taipei Post

The Taipei Post reference corresponds to Chunghwa Post’s National Innovation, Creativity and Finance Center, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects with C. Y. Lee & Partners as local architect. The Bronze Street is an independent exploration of the base: bronze, heritage and street life in Beimen.

The Observatory of Weather · Danjiang Bridge — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Infrastructure · Zaha Hadid Architects competition context

The Observatory of Weather · Danjiang Bridge

Danjiang Bridge, at the Tamsui estuary, originated in an international competition won by the Zaha Hadid Architects team. The Observatory of Weather proposes a conceptual observatory beside the bridge; its visualization follows changing light, rain and horizon without claiming authorship of the infrastructure.

The First Shadow · Great Green Wall — independent conceptual study by NoName × JVA

Landscape and restoration · Sahel

The First Shadow · Great Green Wall

The Great Green Wall is an African land-restoration initiative, rather than a building or a single architectural competition. The First Shadow works with a fictional Sahel transect: earth, shade and water bring visual research down to the scale of everyday maintenance.

WORKING TOGETHER

A conversation with the design team

We begin with the architectural intent, available documentation and intended use of the images. We define what each view needs to explain, then review framing and geometry before developing materials, light and finish.

A sequence can combine a hero image, contextual views, inhabited scenes and details. The selection responds to the project and its audience. For jury submissions, see our architecture competition rendering service.

Our workflow groups feedback around composition, geometry, materiality and final adjustments, with clear approval points. For commissioned work at international scale, explore Sindalah · NEOM alongside the independent research presented here.

FOR PROJECT DIRECTORS AND PROCUREMENT

Appointing an architectural visualization studio

Brief and scope

Send your brief or request for proposal with the design stage, deliverables, available drawings or models, review dates, final deadline and intended image uses. Include any vendor onboarding requirements so we can assess them with the scope.

Production and approvals

The proposal should define modelling, number of views, resolutions, revision rounds, approval leads and the treatment of later design changes. Availability, programme and fees are confirmed after reviewing the documentation.

Confidentiality and usage

Tell us about NDA requirements, embargoes, usage licensing, source-file delivery and any restrictions on AI tools that your team needs us to assess. These conditions are agreed for each commission before work begins.

Relevant experience

JVA Renders was founded in 2013 and brings together architects, 3D artists, designers and animators. The portfolio distinguishes commissioned work from independent visual research, allowing you to assess experience relevant to your project.

BEFORE WE START

Preparing the collaboration

Can we start during concept design?+

Yes. The brief should distinguish fixed decisions from open questions so visual exploration can accompany design within a clear scope.

Can we commission a single image?+

A proposal can focus on one hero image or a series. The number of deliverables follows the story the project needs to tell.

Are ELEMENTS studies commissions for the referenced buildings?+

No. ELEMENTS is an independent conceptual collection by NoName × JVA. Each project identifies the reference context and the separate proposed intervention.

What should an RFP include?+

A project summary, available drawings or model, visual references, deliverables, programme and procurement requirements. These allow us to review scope and availability.

What should remain after someone sees your project?
